Sorry...I started writing this blog Wednesday after I weighed in, but I got so wrapped up in cooking and baking that the blog went by the wayside...sorry! Anyway....here's what I wrote...
I won't be able to attend my regular meeting today because I'm not scheduled to work until 4:30 (the meeting's at 3:00...not gonna happen) ...so I went to the local WW office today to weigh in and attend the meeting there. I'm probably going to be going to the WW office rather than weighing in at work since I don't work until later now because of my "pick up Diana from school" schedule. But anyway....
I usually weigh myself at home, and I know my home scale is different from the WW scale. Something didn't trigger in my head right today though. I stepped on the scale at WW and I thought I had gained....turns out I **lost** 2.9, bringing me to a weight loss o 15.5 lbs in 7 weeks!
Yea, I was pretty psyched about the loss....so psyched, in fact, that I did an impromptu fashion show for Jay and Diana in the afternoon. Know what fits? The dress I wore on my first date with Jay! It's a *little* snug right now, but I totally got it on! Same for the sundress I was wearing the summer of 1999! The sucky thing is that I have to go thru that closet and see if anything is still in fashion! lol

I'm still here!
I know I haven't blogged in a bit, but it's not because I'm not on plan...I totally am!!
So, I'm happy to report that I've lost 10.2 pounds in 4 weeks. Weigh in is tomorrow...we'll see! I haven't been as diligent with my journaling, and I know how important it is. But, I've still been hyper-aware of what I'm eating and what choices I'm making.
I have also been on the bike twice. It's just hard finding the time to fit that into the day. Hopefully, with Diana back to school and if my schedule gets fixed, I'll be able to bike during the day. Ugh, my work schedule! That's a whole 'nother story :S Not happy with that part of my life right now, but I'm not going to let that derail my weight loss.
I've been told by quite a few people now that they can see the difference in my body. Truth be told, I don't notice it that much, except when trying on clothes. Holy crap! I FINALLY wore the capris I was wearing the summer before I had Diana. Those pants haven't fit me in SEVEN years! What a great feeling, not gonna lie! Also, my gut doesn't rub on the steering wheel....in fact, it's nowhere near the steering wheel! How can that be? Oh, and are you supposed to be able to remove your jeans without unzipping or unbuttoning? Yea, little awkward having to pull up my pants every 15 minutes :S
I'm still struggling with planning ahead for my lunches at work. It's something I know I need to do, but do not do often enough. That said, I've already planned tomorrow's lunch :) yay me!!
Guess that's it for now....I should try to get some rest or something!

Interesting ...
So an interesting thing happened today. I didn't take a nap.
Yes, I'm an adult and I love my naps! But I didn't get one today, and that's ok. Got home from work and took the kid over to Value Village because I needed to replace my kitchen scale after a melting/heat issue the other day (ps, don't store your plastic scale on the stove when you're not using it) ... Anyway, picked up a few things at VV including my new scale. Then came home and had to make dinner for us, then some chillin' time with the kid, then Jay came home for his lunch break, then some tv, then bedtime for the kid ... And no nap for me.
The reason for the hoopla is because I'm KNOWN for my naps. I usually work a split shift and come home to nap during my 4 hours off.
I'm kinda excited for no nap. I'm fueling my body correctly!
I didn't use all of my points today. I even carbo-loaded at the end of the day to get my points up!! Oh well, what can you do!
Ok, off to sleep ... Maybe even get 6 hours in! Woot!

Here we go again!
I've re-joined weight watchers. For the last time. I really need to get my act together ... 40 is right around the corner!
I have a really good feeling about this though. WW introduced their new plan last year and now that I'm doing it, it seems pretty reasonable. Also, I'm using my iPhone to track my points, and I'm never without my phone, so that bodes well.
All I need to start doing is exercise!!! Ugh! The dreaded e word! But I know it's a necessary evil! Now it's just about finding the time!!!
Speaking of time, I really should be asleep.
Until next time!

Frustration ... And for no reason
Yesterday was weigh in and I'm down another 1.4 pounds, for a total of 10.4. Not too shabby. But, I'm frustrated. I wanted a bigger number. I journaled everything I ate. I did my workouts. I lost weight! But I wanted more! My frustration is totally unwarranted, yet here I sit, feeling defiant and not wanting to stay on program. And how will that help me? It won't. So for the time being, I'm still on program ... Doesn't hurt that my house has been purged of most crap-food! lol
I did have a mini pig out today ... On homemade unsweetened applesauce. Yea, I'm a rebel! Hahaha
Ok, enough self loathing ... I should journal what I ate today and move on. Hate to think what would happen if the scale went the wrong way! Yikes!!! Can't let that happen!

It hasn't killed me yet
Yup, I exercised two days in a row and I lived to tell about it!
With the EA Active, there's a 30-day challenge, that I've committed to doing. Luckily, this is day 3, a designated day of rest. w00t w00t!
Although a weird thing happened yesterday. I worked out, I went to work and we had a huge potluck (dubbed Cholesterol Tuesday) ...and I didn't feel like eating. I did have a plate of food though, since I hadn't eaten at all for the day. Later, I had a few more pieces of chicken curry (yum! thank you T and T's mom!!) and then I pigged out on the pineapple that was leftover. Pineapple! Not the donuts or fudge...pineapple! And it was good! lol
I weigh in today. Nervous? Yes....but I think I did ok for the week. Really been trying to get my water in and now, with the exercise, I'm hoping to see a very positive number :)
We shall see......

Exercise
Yea, that's a bad word :P
So, I really don't want to plateau *at all* ...I know that's not a realistic expectation, but I really need to do everything in my power to see that it doesn't happen. That means exercise. Ugh.
Went to a small comic-book convention yesterday. Walked/stood around for an hour, then I sat. Jay really wanted to shop, and I'm all for that, since it's the main reason we go, so Diana and I sat on the sidelines while he shopped. Since I was an early sitter, I got a chair! I noticed later that the sidelines were filling up quickly with people going thru their purchases and relaxing...and they were sitting on the floor. Nothing wrong with that, but nobody wants to see the fat girl roll herself into a standing position. lol
At least my hour of walking around, plus walking to/from the car counted as *some* activity. Every little bit helps.
But, it's still not *exercise* per se. Today I did it, I bit the bullet. I started EA Active again. I dropped the kid off at school, watched a bit of tv, then said "I gotta do this" and started up the wii. It has been a year since I last touched EA Active. I WILL FINISH THIS 30 DAY CHALLENGE! yup, you read it here first, folks.
Day One: I feel revved, I feel jazzed, I feel like I'm gonna be in a lot of pain tomorrow!
Ah, Day Three...I look forward to you the most. You are my day of rest! lol
Ok, gotta pack a lunch/dinner and go to work!
